Do you offer products other than hats

Yes, while hats ar the primary focus here we an als apl ptches t a range of other products including jackets, bags, etc. We are also now offering stickers stand-alone or as an add-on to your hat order! We are also happy to help you with any other branded products that you may need such as pens, business cards, signage, event tents and tradeshow set ups, and pretty well any other branded items you may need!

Do You Allow Returns?

If you are unhappy with the hats that you approved we cannot offer refunds as these are custom made products specific to you. However if the final product does not meet our standards or was completed incorrectly based on the proof that you approved we may be able to help. We review any returns/refunds, and replacement orders on a case-by-case basis.

Do you charge tax?

We must charge sales tax on all orders that ship within Canada. Tax rates vary based on the province or territory that your hats are shipped to. The current tax rates that we are required to charge are as follows. *Please note that these rates may change without notice based on changes made by the government, minimum sales thresholds by province, or changes made to our business operations requiring us to also charge PST in certain provinces.

What are the Duties and Taxes For Shipments outside of Canada?

Unfortunately we don't know. As duties, taxes, brokerage, etc. vary from country to country, and shipping carrier to shipping carrier, we don't really have an easy way to figure that out. All duties and other fees associated with importing product is the sole responsibility of the customer.

Can I supply you with hats to put a patch on?

In most cases yes. However since the blanks are supplied to us and are purchased outside of our supply chain we will be unable to repair or replace customer supplied goods for any reason. It is also important to note that it typically ends up being more expensive for you to supply us the hats than it would be for us to source them internally.

Do you offer colour matching for patches?

With PVC patches and colour fills on genuine leather patches we are able to closely match custom Pantone colours. For embroidered and woven products we are unable to custom match colours, however we will choose the closest matching thread colours available. Sublimated patches are digitally printed and are based on the CMYK values in your design file. We will also do our best to match thread colours to the hat colours when requested, but the colours do not always match completely.

Will my patches be hand stitched or heat pressed onto my hat?

We offer both heat applied and hand stitched application methods for our patches. Most of our patches can be applied with either method, however there are some patch types that can be only applied by one method or the other. You can learn more about which patches can be applied with which methods on our patches page. Additionally any knits, toques, beanies, etc. can only be decorated with stitched application methods. Overly complex shaped patches that cannot be sewn must be heat applied.

What is the difference between hand stitched and heat applied?

Stitched, and heat applied, as mentioned above are the two methods of applying patches to your hats. Hand stitching is done manually on an industrial sewing machine and is typically the recommended method of application as these patches will stay attached to your hat for as long as the hat lasts. Heat application is done with our industry leading heat application hat press. An industrial adhesive is applied to the back of the patches and with a combination of high heat, pressure, and time the patches are adhered to the hats. Heat application is recommended for extremely intricate shapes that cannot be sewn on, or for projects where budget is of utmost importance as heat application is typically more cost effective than hand stitched. Though we rarely hear of any issues we cannot guarantee the longevity of heat applied patches.

Are there more hat options than what is listed on your website?

The products listed on our website are just a small handful of popular products. If you're looking for something specific and don't see it on our website let us know! If you have the brand and style number that would be great, if you have a picture we can work from that as well! We have suppliers in Canada and the USA that carry a very wide range of styles outside of what is shown here on our website.

Are there more patch styles than what is listed on your website?

The patch styles listed on our website are some of the most popular, and commonly used patch styles. If you don't see what you are looking for, we would love the opportunity to try something new, so contact us, let us know, and we will be more than happy to look into it!

Do you sell just custom patches without hats?

No, we no longer offer wholesale patches on their own. If you are placing an order for completed merchandise and would like some additional loose patches we will be more than happy to add them, to your order though!

Can I pick more than one hat style or colour for my design?

Yes you can use multiple different hat styles and colours in the same order. Different styles and colours must be ordered in multiples of 12.

Can I pick more than one colour combination for my patches?

Yes you can mix different colours of the same patch type and design within an order and maintain the overall quantity price break.

Can I pick more than one style of patch for my order?

You can order multiple different styles and designs for your patches (half leather, half embroidered, or half one design, half a different design), however since each design, and each style of patch has to be set up in a different way we must charge them as separate orders so you will not reach a price break for the overall quantity. So if you want 50 embroidered patches and 50 leather patches you would be charged for two orders of 50 as opposed to one order of 100.

Is shipping free?

Technically no, however we don't typically include a separate line item for shipping. We almost always quote your hats to include shipping to the address you provide.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

We do absolutely everything we can to avoid shipping to PO boxes. Logistically shipping to a PO box is more difficult for us as it must be shipped via Canada Post which is not a standard shipping method for us. Whenever possible please provide us with a physical shipping address that a courier can deliver to (Canpar, Purolator, UPS, etc.). We do understand that much of Canada is considered rural, and some areas are extremely remote with access only by personal plane, boat, etc. and may require a PO address, in these extremely rare cases we will ship via Canada Post.

Are there any additional fees?

For the most part no. When we send you your mockups and a quote the pricing usually includes everything - hats, patches, application, and shipping to the provided address. If we are creating any custom artwork, or if poor quality artwork is supplied and we need to recreate it there may be additional art fees for that.

Will you design my patch for me?

We certainly can help you design your patch! There are a few ways we go about this.

If you provide us with an editable vector logo or patch design (.ai, .eps, .pdf, .svg - Just because it has this file extension does not mean it is editable, we will confirm this when we receive the file from you) we will lay out your logo or design on the style of patch that you choose free of charge.

If you provide us with a logo but it is not an editable vector we will charge a flat rate $75 fee to vectorize your design. We will also gladly supply you with the vector file of your logo or supplied design upon request.

If you require a completely custom design we charge hourly with a minimum charge of $100.

What is your turnaround time?

Turnaround time varies depending on patch type and current work load. You can view estimated production times depending on the patch type you choose on our patches page. For the most part tunaround times are estimated at 6-8 weeks. Note that these turnaround times are not guaranteed and may vary depending on complexity, product availability, current workload, and time of year. The listed production time estimates begin from one business day after the final patch proof is approved.

Do you offer rush services?

Due to the processes involved in making the custom patches themselves we are unable to offer any rush services. If you are on a tight timeline we recommend that you choose one of our laser engraved patches as they typically have the quickest production times,

What file types do you accept?

We prefer that any artwork be sent in vector format as they are easier to work with and retain 100% of the details when resized, these file types include Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Encapsulated PostScript (.eps), Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg), Portable Document Format (.pdf). If these file types are not available we can also accept some high resolution raster files including Joint Photographic Experts Group (.jpeg or .jpg), Portable Graphic Format (.png), Adobe Photoshop (.psd).

Please note that some of our patch types do require a vector file in order to produce them properly. If a true vector file cannot be provided there is a flat rate $75 fee to recreate your design as a vector.

What does finished in Canada mean?

All of our custom patch hats go through their final stages of manufacturing in Ontario, Canada. Our hats are sourced from suppliers across Canada and the USA who typically have overseas manufacturing facilities. Our patches are sourced from companies both domestically and overseas in order to provide high quality and affordable pricing. If you are looking for something that is 100% Canadian or North American made we may have some options available for Canadian/USA made blank hats and custom patches that we can source.
